Sticks & Holler is an action-packed dramedy about a group of small-town friends who attempt to stay one step ahead of the law as they make their way through life. When Teddy needs to come up with some quick cash, he turns to his uncle, a hitman, for help. As Teddy deals with the loss of his mother, he must tread lightly as he navigates his misfortunes. Now, he must figure out how to pay off his drug dealer before he ends up dead or in prison for good.
the story
In a forgotten Appalachian town where crime and desperation go hand in hand, Sticks & Holler follows Teddy, a reckless yet well-intentioned young man struggling to break free from a life that seems predestined. Grieving the recent loss of his mother and drowning in debt, he’s running out of time to pay back a dangerous drug dealer. With no legitimate options, Teddy turns to his estranged Uncle Donald, a seasoned hitman—who offers a way out, but at a steep cost.
As Teddy and his closest friends, Ryan and Kev, stumble through their own misguided attempts at making fast cash, they find themselves in over their heads. Their small-town antics soon draw the attention of Officer Doyle, a weary local cop who sees too much of himself in Teddy. While Doyle wrestles with his own demons, he remains caught between enforcing the law and understanding the struggles of the people he’s meant to protect.
